Ciaran M. Considine, PhD, ABPP-CN is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and Associate Professor of Neurology, with a secondary appointment in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He directs the Brain Health Clinic at Vanderbilt Health and maintains an active forensic and aeromedical consultation practice through NeuropsyConsulting, LLC. His work spans clinical care, federally funded research, and medico-legal consultation, with subspecialty focus on neurodegenerative disease, neuropsychiatric presentations, and the application of neuropsychological science to legal and regulatory questions.

Research and scholarship

Dr. Considine has authored more than 35 peer-reviewed publications, with work appearing in journals including Nature Reviews Neurology, Nature Aging, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Annals of Neurology, Neurology, and Alzheimer's and Dementia. His research program addresses sleep-circadian disruption and neurofluid (glymphatic) function in neurodegenerative disease, neuropsychiatric and cognitive phenotyping in Huntington disease and frontotemporal dementia, and the development of practice guidance for clinical and forensic applications of neuropsychology. He has held the role of Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator on multiple federally and industry-funded studies.
